Name: Gojo Satoru Door: Door Pass he picked: intangible Canon: Jujutsu Kaisen Canon Point: Anime - Shibuya Incident Arc (Just as Gojo is caught/about to be trapped in the Prison Realm.) Age: 28 Appearance: Here! History: Here! CR AU (Optional): N/A Personality: Positive Trait: (Playful/Humanity) Ever since he was a student at Jujutsu Tokyo High, Gojo has strongly believed that the young shouldn't have their youth taken away from them. This hits home when he fails to protect Riko, and later when his best friend and fellow sorcerer, Geto, leaves to pursue a different path in life. Something of a rebellious type, Gojo hates being told what to do and simply and blindly following orders, and doesn't think it fair that so many young men and women are risking their lives fighting cursed spirits while the higher-ups sit comfortably out of harm's way. Change is what he craves but he's only one man. Albit the strongest sorcerer of his time, he's still just one man, and changing the entire social system of Jujutsu sorcerers is no easy feat. So, Gojo fights back in other ways. Such as being goofy and playful despite the situation! His voice will take on light and airy sing-song pitches, his expressions will be exaggerated and silly, he will make kissing faces and dance around like a fool. Most of the time, this playfulness comes across as light teasing, even if it irritates others, it's definitely one of the things that keeps Gojo sane, it's the main way he interacts with other people, whether you like it or not. Rarely seen without a smile or at least a cheeky grin on his face, Gojo seems to take nothing seriously, even when fighting some of the stronger foes. Gojo can be seen taunting his opponents, often coming up with silly little jokes or outright teasing them. And he doesn't stop at his enemies! As a fellow sorcerer and tutor at Jujutsu High, Gojo seems to be happiest when he's joking around with his students. He spends time with them outside of training, taking them places and letting them do a little sightseeing. He'll make up silly games for them to play and talk to them in a light-hearted manner. Even when they're supposed to be challenging other students to test their skills and knowledge, Gojo will find a way to inject a little silliness and fun into the event. Such as the time he swapped out the option of one-on-one combat competitions for a friendly game of baseball. He's not afraid to make a fool of himself for his students, and I think that's in keeping with his strong feelings that kids should be kids, and that he doesn't want them to miss out on fun things because of the serious pressures of Jujustu society. While it is easier to find more negative qualities in Gojo, I believe that his humanity cannot be overlooked. He clearly cares about his students and other people in general. It is said that there are many sorcerers who have been saved by him and given a proper chance to prosper in their careers. Before Gojo kills an enemy, he often asks if they have any last words, giving them a chance to be heard before the lights go out. While it is easy to ignore these good qualities and focus on how strong he is or his narcissistic traits, Gojo's playfulness, compassion, and caring nature make him perhaps one of the most human characters in the series. In fact, when the higher-ups insist that Cursed Users like Yuta and Yuji must be executed because of their cursed energy, Gojo defies the orders and instead takes them under his wing. He believes that these young boys should not be killed simply because they have the misfortune to be cursed, and instead tries to save them and turn them into some of the strongest and finest sorcerers the school has ever seen. Negative Trait: (Arrogance/Narcissistic) This is by far one of Gojo's worst qualities! This man is so arrogant it's infuriating! Gojo isn't just the strongest, but he's the best and he knows it. We all know it. There hasn't been a more talented Sorcerer since Gojo Satoru. He's a prodigy. Blessed with not only one extremely rare bloodline innate ability but two! Gojo can not only use Reversed Curse Energy, a technique so few can master but was also lucky enough to be born with that and the Gojo Clan's rare Six eyes. When the two are combined it practically leaves Gojo feeling and acting like a God among men. I'm not even joking. He's so overpowered that most of the bad guys and spirits actually try to avoid Gojo or specifically make barriers to keep him away or hide their actions and presence from him. Most of his peers, fellow tutors, and sorcerers all seem to get annoyed at some point while talking to Gojo. It's often commented that he's arrogant and that his ego is way too big, and most of his friends and colleagues seem to have trouble getting through to him because of his inflated ego. He just won't listen to you when he thinks he's right. It's as if his opinion is the only one that matters because he's already made up his mind. He knows he's the best, and so do they, and they're tired of him flaunting it not only to them but to the students and their enemies. Gojo truly believes that he is untouchable, and he's not afraid to let people know it. He has no time for enemies he considers weak, and will even complain if he has to deal with someone who thinks they're stronger than they really are. His arrogance makes him feel he's above most things, and he has no problem commenting on other people's flaws and shortcomings as he feels he has none. Even the higher-ups aren't safe from his arrogance, calling them 'old geezers' and joking that he could just kill them all. His arrogance bleeds out into the way he thinks other people perceive him too. Gojo is a good-looking guy, he knows this and he knows that almost everyone else who sees him knows this too. He'll flaunt his looks to get what he wants at times, such as when he and Geto are still students and had to protect Riko. Gojo posed as a fellow student at Riko's school while really he was her bodyguard, and acted as a handsome older classmate who knew her. When her friends assume Gojo is dating her, he laps up the adoring attention the girls give him, posing and making them swoon. He does this to Megumi as well, pretending to be his handsome violin tutor when he sees his student talking to someone he thinks is hitting on them, it's like why look at and talk to them when they could be interacting with him!? However, this arrogance can turn nasty, for example during a fight. Gojo will openly taunt his enemies, asking them if they're crying while he's hurting them, but in a very undermining and sarcastic way. He'll belittle cursed spirits and cursed spirit users as they desperately try and fail to defeat him. Sometimes, when he gets carried away and goes into a kind of frenzy, he'll even murder them outright, and maliciously, I might add! Like when he kills Hanami the way he does. Gojo simply walks towards them grinning wildly, letting his Infinity push them back against the wall, physically crushing them simply by his presence. He does this slowly, taking in the sight before him. Considering his opponents don't usually stand a chance against him, he's just doing it for show. He's so confident in his abilities that he doesn't see anyone as much of a threat. Negative Trait: (Lonely/Closed off) It's not always easy to be the best. It's very lonely being on top and looking down on everyone else. It's been that way for Gojo since birth. The moment it was confirmed that he possessed the Gojo Clan's innate Six Eyes ability, as well as the ability to use Reverse Cursed techniques, he was placed on a pedestal. Being the best at such a young age led to his ego problems, but it also taught Gojo that he would be alone forever. While talking to Geto in the Blue Spring flashback arc, Gojo states; "I'm no stranger to feeling isolated. There was always a gulf between me and other people, even if they adored me. You can admire a blooming flower, but you can't ask it to understand you." This shows that even back then, while he was still a student he understood his life was going to be a long and lonely one. Geto is undoubtedly Gojo's only true friend, the one person he feels completely safe and comfortable with. They might be classmates and they might be like chalk and cheese, but Geto is Gojo's one and only true friend. The fact they end up branching off and becoming enemies only drives the fact further that Gojo is truly alone in this world. However, the gap between them started due to the Higher-ups separating Gojo from his teammates. Once they realized it was more productive to just send Gojo out on harder missions, that's what they started to do, wedging a gap between the friends, leaving Geto in the background, in Gojo's shadow where he grew cold and dark. He finds it easy to seduce and sleep with many different women because of his confidence and good looks, yet he never takes one as a girlfriend. He's friendly and playful with almost all the other sorcerers and students, and yet he makes excuses to go off and do things on his own. I think he does that, he keeps people at a distance because he doesn't want to get hurt again. He doesn't want to get hurt the way Geto hurt him. Feeling betrayed by his best friend, the one person who probably knew him better than he knew himself, really affected Gojo and helped to confirm that shutting himself off from others was for the best. It's not like anyone else could understand him anyway, he's one of a kind. There is a price to be paid for being the best. Gojo is, by his own doing, extremely lonely. It's for the best because if he let people in, they would only become a liability. They could be captured or hurt trying to get to him, having loved ones and people he cares about would be a weakness and Gojo Satoru has no weaknesses... Or so he tries to convince himself. Negative Trait: (Aggravating/Disrespectful) As I said, Gojo hates being told what to do with a passion. He doesn't like authority at all and thinks the way the Jujutsu sorcerer society is run is outdated and stupid. Jokingly, he'll say on more than one occasion that he could just kill all the higher-ups and take over, which is terribly disrespectful in their society! He'll also say it with a smile like it's just a joke, and yet if anyone else suggested it, they'd probably be punished! The way he addresses them is very disrespectful, calling them 'old geezers' and waving his hand around while they're talking, cutting them off or walking out while they're giving him orders, even saying 'Yeah, yeah~' to them if he thinks what they're saying is boring. He only gets away with it because of who he is, and while this amuses Gojo, it annoys the higher-ups themselves. Gojo also has no respect for the way things are done. He will blatantly ignore rules or go against them because he wants to see the look on the higher-ups' faces, such as when he refuses to kill Yuji after he swallows one of Sukuna's fingers and becomes his host. His annoying ways don't just stop at irritating the higher-ups, though, as Gojo is seen actively messing with his fellow sorcerers, such as making comments to Utahime that he knows will annoy her, like "Guys find hysterics really unattractive!" And laughing at her when he was the one winding her up in the first place. Her frustration with him is only increased by the fact that Gojo always has his Infinity ability up and active, meaning that even if you wanted to punch him or throw something at his annoying face, you literally can't touch him. He becomes indifferent to the fact that he's so strong and the best, and puts his students in danger with missions that a higher-level sorcerer should be handling, but it's okay because he's there and overseeing the mission. Not only does this annoy those in charge, but some of the students have no respect for him and are so annoyed by him that they can't take him seriously. Powers and Abilities: Here! Also, a note about nerfing! All jujutsu sorcerers see, feel, produce, and use cursed energy on a daily basis, it powers their unique abilities. Cursed energy is produced by negative emotions such as grief and anger, which are the basis of cursed energy. Given that humans are the main source of cursed energy and the situations Dupilicty puts its inhabitants in, I believe there would be plenty of cursed energy for Gojo to see and manipulate. For this reason, and to be fair to the other characters and within the framework of the game, I'd like to suggest that Gojo's abilities be reduced to about 25% of what they currently are? This would mean that his blue and red techniques would only be partially effective. For example, instead of being able to destroy rows of buildings, he could only use one of these attacks to destroy, say, a small house or car? The same goes for his Reverse Cursed Energy technique when used for healing. Perhaps he can only heal small wounds with it? Since his Domain Expansion and Hollow Purple techniques use a lot more cursed energy to manifest, what if he can only use them once a week, and they need buffing time to recharge afterward, leaving him physically and mentally exhausted? Gojo's Infinity Technique and his Six Eyes, however, are something he uses constantly to slow things down so they don't touch him, and how he perceives his surroundings with extra-sensory information. How about he can only use about 20% to 25% of their maximum power at any one time? For example, if he wanted to keep Infinity up, it would only last a good 4 to 6 hours. Otherwise, he can use it in short bursts a few times a day. And his Six Eyes would be a disadvantage after 4 to 6 hours, as any additional information he sees with his eyes would be blurred and fuzzy. This would put Gojo at a huge disadvantage and is something I'd like to take into account when roleplaying him in Duplicity! Inventory: 1. Pair of round black shade 2. Lollipop (bubblegum flavour) 3.
